Abstract
Sparganosis is caused by tapeworm larva of the genus Spirometra, which commonly invades the subcutaneous tissue, and less frequently invades the abdominal wall, intestine, muscle, thorax, breast, eye, brain, spinal cord, etc. Clinically and radiographically sparganosis could be confused with neoplasms it appears masses. The confirmative diagnosis of sparganosis is made by surgical removal of the worm. We experienced a rare case of living sparganosis in the submandibular triangle with a review of literatures.
